Optic Cuts for Glock

Glock Optic Cuts

An optic cut mills your slide to accept a red dot directly — no adapter plate, no added height. The optic sits lower on the gun, closer to bore axis, which improves accuracy and reduces the adjustment needed when transitioning from iron sights.

Supported Footprints

We currently cut for two footprints. If you're unsure which you need, confirm with your optic manufacturer before shipping.

Trijicon RMR

The most popular duty and competition footprint. Fits the Trijicon RMR, SRO, and other compatible optics. Industry standard.

Shield RMS

The Shield RMS footprint supports the Shield RMS, RMSc, and a growing number of compatible red dots at a thinner profile.

What to Send

Send the slide only. Remove everything from the slide — barrel, recoil spring, and any installed sights — before shipping. You keep the frame. See our shipping instructions for packaging guidance.

Note on iron sights after an optic cut

Once an optic is installed, standard-height iron sights no longer co-witness through it. You'll need optic-height or suppressor-height sights to see your irons through or around the optic body. We carry Angry Bear Arms sights in the right heights for common red dots.
